My second time in New York I wanted to stay on the other side of the East River. Out in Brooklyn. One day on my way home from Manhattan I decided to stop in Brooklyn Heights to get a view of the Manhattan skyline from the promenade. What I didn’t know was that this was going to be such a quiet, leafy, cozy neighbourhood. Even though there are mostly residential streets, there are also a few small shops around, for the basic stuff. In the end I actually found myself checking out real estate in the agent’s window display 🙂 A short walk away I also bumped into Fulton Mall, a pedestrian street where you get everything that you need. I heart Brooklyn Heights!

I love those row houses – such a charmer of a neighborhood! Thanks for sharing with #FarawayFiles, Erin
I love those houses too!
Oh yes! I love those Brooklyn brownstones too! #FarawayFiles
Wouldn’t mind one of them being my home someday 🙂
Brooklyn seems lovely! Would definitely like to visit NYC one day and explore the area myself!
First time NY disappointed my, now I don’t understand how it could, second time I loved it! Brooklyn is just something else. Authentic feel. Perfect!
So… Did you move? #farawayfiles
Haha, wish I could 🙂 Maybe sometime in the future.
We lived in Brooklyn Heights for 5 years – best neighborhood ever! #farawayfiles
Lucky you!! I just stopped by to go to the promenade, and I fell in love 🙂
I adőre it! Especially in the early fall…
I liked the Brooklyn vibe!
