Hell Hotel

airport hotel hell trondheim norway

Scandic Hell I would consider to be no more than an airport hotel for layovers. It is very close to Trondheim Airport, in walking distance, about 10 minutes. Getting to the city centre takes a lot longer, 30-40 minutes. As the hotel was amidst a renovation process it was a clashing mix of old and new. Some day when the remodeling is done, it will be a nice place. The room I got was big, but not much in it, which made it quite basic. Only plus here was the toiletries from Face Stockholm – great brand! The window also faced the atrium – not something I’m too eager about… However superb breakfast and lunch buffet. Among the best I’ve had at a hotel! And even though Trondheim is far away, not to worry, as there is a shopping centre right across the street from the hotel, if you find yourself in need of something essential.

  1. I would have loved to read more about Hell. Tourists love the place although I’d be curious to know if the name affects booking at this Scandic in a negative way… 😀

    1. I didn’t visit Hell, and don’t know much about it. Stayed at the (Trondheim) airport hotel only for an event I was working at. Didn’t know Hell was a “tourist attraction”. Hmm, good to know.

  2. What caught my attention was this hotels rather ‘striking’ name. I thought this was going to be a ‘hotel from Hell’ post for a moment there XD!

Love to hear your comment :)
