This little boy I remember from my childhood, from seeing him at my neighbor’s, as some kind of living room decor. My first time in Brussels I realized that this is where Manneken Pis lives and pees. First time he was butt naked, this time he was, as he many times is, dressed for some occasion. I have no idea what occasion. Thought it had to be Christmas, but it really doesn’t look like it π What surprised me the most the first time I saw him is how teeny-tiny he really is. So much smaller than what I had imagined. And oh so popular π
LOL!! I can’t believe you think he’s cute π I think he’s such a tourist trap!! (He does have a good dressmaker though!) π
π Yes, it’s a tourist trap, but I think he’s so cute because he is so small π I thought he was gonna be a lot bigger, more life-size.
Such a city icon – I’ve never actually seen him dressed. Thanks for linking up with #citytripping
True! First time naked, last time dressed, so both π
hahaha Oh my! What a cutie! #citytripping
He is super cute, and teeny-tiny!
I’ll be there this weekend! π Can’t wait to go again! #CityTripping
Cool! Let me know what clothes he’s wearing this time π
The first time we went he didn’t have clothes on
So hopefully this time he does! Sorry pressed reply on accident before I was done!
No clothes on my first time either. Maybe he is sporting t-shirt and shorts this summer π Have you seen Jeanneke Pis?
Ya I found them all last time, including the dog!
There’s a dog? I didn’t know that. Funny! Have not seen Jeanneke Pis. Do you have photos?
Ya he’s called Zinneke Pis – Brussels, Belgium β California Globetrotter

Haha, a cute little “family” π
I’ve never seen that (or heard of it) before! That’s hilarious!
Apparently there are several legends. My local friend told me it was during a war and a little boy pissed on the fuse of an explosive and thereby saved the town π
Did you take a look at Jeanneke piss too, to be gender equal? π
Haha, no, I didn’t π
