Yep, that was my first thought when starting to think about today’s dinner. Moules-frites! Bistro ‘T Minnewater in Bruges came with recommendations from my hotel. Assuming they knew what they were talking about I headed out for a culinary treat. When I arrived the place was empty, no guests at all… Had I not been suggested this restaurant, I would have probably turned around and left. I’m glad I gave it a chance. And after I sat down it filled up. It is not a particularly stylish venue, but a nice, cozy atmosphere. With a fireplace, which is always a plus in my book 🙂 I landed on mussels with cream. Exquisite! Happy I ditched the regular one, with white wine only, for this. Now the problem is not going back, but explore other dining options 🙂

Really? I’m not too keen…
After 3 1/2 weeks of travel around France it was a nice quiet restful break, especially after Amsterdam. But that just might be my age catching up also.
It was packed with tourists. No nice and quiet 🙂 Taxi driver said he didn’t like to work in the evening because of many drunk people.
When I was there it was shoulder season and pretty quiet. Yes the pedestrian areas were a little crowded but not bad to me.
Taxi driver said the Christmas market was pulling a lot of visitors. Hoards in the main streets. Was nice to go into side streets and get a breather. Lucky you!
Mussels are my most favourite food- and these look delicious!
