So there we were, in Grünerløkka in Oslo, three friends and a daughter in the search of a sushi place to have dinner. Since our first pick Mamo Sushi was closed, in await of the food serving license…, we discovered Monsun Noodlebar next door. Hadn’t been to either, so I guess it really didn’t matter. And this was one of those luck of the draw sitch. A nice looking place, apparently they’re trying for a London Soho/New York vibe (at least that’s what their website says). Don’t know if they achieved that, but a chill spot to enjoy a relaxing meal it is. What I do know is their dishes have the coolest names I’ve seen in a while: Fantasy Roll, Disco Roll, Taco Roll. I went for the 911 Fire Roll, and it was certainly something to write (home) about 🙂 Try it!
To get here, you can walk, even though it is quite the stroll from the city centre, or you take the easy way out and get on the street car. Get off at Olaf Ryes plass, and walk the remaining two blocks.

Wish I would have found this place 2 years ago when I was there. It sounds and looks delicious.
Not sure it was there two years ago. You have to come back 🙂
