An Enjoyable Bath Day

At first glimpse I could feel excitement brewing – this has the potential to be great! Because upon arriving at Bath we got a stunning overview of a honey colored town with terraced houses clinging to the opposite hillside down in the valley. Looking all fine! A lovely small town with a great mix of old, Roman buildings and the shops that you find in any other town. The vibe is of a relaxing place, like going to the spa… I definitely understand why this was an It place back in the day, and I wouldn’t have been opposed to staying here for more than a the few hours we had. Apparently they are also famous for their homemade fudge, which turned out comes in a wide range of colors, flavors and shapes. Me not being much of a fudge person thought it made an excellent present for my mom 🙂

I visited Bath as part of a tour with Anderson Tours. Was picked up at London’s Earls Court, which are one of the many pick-ups you can choose from. A bus took us to a bus station outside the city centre, where people were put on the correct buses (several tours were departing around the same time). Only negative was it took forever for them to come pick us up. So late that you’re starting to wonder if they forgot about you. Earls Court was second to last pick-up, so that could have something to do with it. Back in London there are (only) 4-5 drop-offs, which was not a problem for me. And, last, but not least, great guide!

  1. We love Bath and it’s not far from us. We had a adult only weekend there a little while ago which was lovely! #MondayEscapes
