This old neighborhood across the harbour from Sydney Opera House is a fantastic spot to spend the day. Just walking around – through narrow streets, and among buildings from a foregone era now housing small shops and cozy cafes. I had my first Eggs Benedict (now a fan!) in one of the small eateries here, and a too friendly parrot (the adorable rainbow lorikeet) decided to keep me company for bunch. Guess it had a taste for New York cuisine as well 🙂 In The Rocks you can also submerge yourself in history, but this day I was in the mood for only hanging out. And should none of the above be for you, you could also simply come here for the superb waterfront view of the characteristic opera house.

It’s a great area to hang out! Glad you’re now a fan of eggs benedict – it’s a fab breakfast/brunch. #citytripping
Agree x 2 🙂
Food with a view sounds pretty perfect. #citytripping
Amazing food, amazing view – just not together 🙁
Not seen that mural….nice
Extra cool because of the staircase.
We stayed at the Harbour Rocks Hotel and loved it!
