The Bund in Shanghai is definitely all about the view. That is, the view of the other side of the river, of Pudong and of the striking Oriental Pearl Tower. OK…, the Bund itself has a nice esplanade and some unusual architecture, but mostly edifices with colonial influences you can see elsewhere… So, my favorite is still the modern, flashy skyscrapers on the opposite shore 🙂
Superb view and such original architectural styles in one skyline – I’d never get bored of that.

It’s so cool 🙂
I particularly like the architectural style of the top of that tower. #citytripping
I love that tower!
Great skyline shot. I did love the contrast of the high rises and the old colonial myself. #citytripping
Thanks! Great skyline 🙂
Great shot of the skyline! I’d love to go to Shanghai! #citytripping
Thanks! Shanghai was my first meeting with China, and it took a while to get used to, but it was an exciting meeting as well.
Love that skyline view! So pretty!

Totally!!
I will never get tired of that view!
The tower is so cool!
If you go across to Pudong to the Jinmao tower and ask for cloud 9 bar the hotel staff will guide you up. It’s on the 89th floor and for 100rmb you get a drink and a table with a view. In my opinion better value than the trade centre’s observation deck.
I thought about doing that, but I’ve stopped going to the top of towers. Just don’t find it too exciting anymore. I’ll do it if I’m bored with nothing else to do or if it’s a super must-do. Like Burj Khalifa in Dubai. That one I will do.
I do like hotels with a nice view out the window. Cool skyline.
Had this been my room view, I would have been in heaven 🙂 Just view from the Bund, but still an amazing one!
that’s a fantastic skyline shot!
Thanks! Super cool skyline though 🙂
