CNN named the Brussels World Expo structure one of the most bizarre buildings in Europe. As they say, bizarre is in the eyes of the beholder, and this beholder thinks it’s bizarre in a good way! Because I just love it! My encounter was a moment where the locals were bored of me staring at it, and me not wanting to leave. I don’t know why, but I just found the look of it so fascinating. I hear the views from the spheres are spectacular. Unfortunately I didn’t have time to go up and have a look. I was also lucky enough to have a short stop there one late night. And it looks striking in the dark too!

The view from the inside is very beautiful! You can see the royal gardens from up above!
Mini europe is great to visit with kids. It’s much like madurodam in Amsterdam.
As I live in Belgium I visited these places 😉
Enjoy your travels!
Super! Then I have to go inside next time I’m in Brussels. Thanks!
I agree, I love this building and how it’s shaped like a chemical element 🙂 It’s awesome !
Me too! I love “unusual” shaped buildings. Have a great summer!
I definitely think bizarre in a good way! I quite like it. Thanks for sharing, I’ve never heard of Atomium before. Shame you couldn’t go up it! Thanks for linking up with #MondayEscapes
Yes, it’s such a shame 🙂 Next time!
I agree – I can imagine it’s a love-hate structure, but I think it’s really striking to look at. #mondayescapes
Yeah, I get that too, but I just think it is sooo cool 🙂 Have a great summer!
I like it too. I would not miss it during a visit to Brussels. Would like to see the views from the inside.
Yep, if I go back yet again (for a third time 🙂 ), I’ll try to get inside as well.
Yes, I like the look of it too. We want to visit Brussels as my daughter is a huge Tintin fan-I’d like to check this out too 🙂
You should! Also Mini-Europe and Bruparck are next door. Don’t know how old your daughter is, and didn’t visit (just stopped by Bruparck for a quick snack), so don’t know if it’s worth it or not.
Totally in a good way. Super intriguing!
We’re on the same page 🙂
