The cutest, little church ever is found at a very unexpected place in Munich, Germany. The Asam Church is crammed into a small space between two residential buildings. The Rococo structure’s exterior has angels, hearts, banners and even unhewn rocks.Very different from the regular ones. The interior is filled to the rim with things that glitter and spark, and topped by a beautiful ceiling mural. This little surprise just made my day!

That’s a lot of church in a little place! I love though how it holds its own even though it is wedged into that space. #wkendtravelinspiration
It’s a small one. And the interior is more or less golden. Unfortunately not easy to get a good pic 🙁
I’d love to see it one day.
You should! And I loved Munich. Favorite German city so far!
I was in Munich many times for work. Never left the inside of a conference room! So sad.
How cool :), and so sad 🙁
What a lovely find! Too bad I didn’t find this church when I visited Munich.
It was suggested in my guide book, but my friend from Munich also pointed out this one out. I thought it was super cute 🙂
The Asam Church is lovely and not dissimilar to a Rococo one we found in Valencia Spain.
It was very different from what I was expecting. So lovely! Would love to visit Valencia! Architecture looks stunning!
