Sidi Bou Said: Blue, White and Bougainvillea

sidi bou said tunis tunisia

This blue and white, little village a short drive outside of Tunis is worth a minute of your time! It is a quiet and charming place smothered in bougainvillea, which make the characteristic houses look even more beautiful. Photo ops aplenty! There’s a few small shops and cafes. And there is nothing like sitting down at a one of the cafes, and enjoy the incredible views of the Mediterranean Sea and the Gulf of Tunis below! If it happens to be a bit too crowded for you, just make a turn into one of the back streets, and you’ll have the place all to yourself.

This was a stop on an organised tour to Tunis from Sousse, so having me explain how to get there is not a good idea 🙂

    1. Yes, it’s a nice place that warrants a couple of hours. At the top of my head, I would say this place and the Bardo Museum were my highlights. Then again I didn’t see the whole of Tunisia 🙂

Love to hear your comment :)
